Seoul National University (SNU), founded in 1946, has grown remarkably in the past seven decades. Comprising 16 colleges and associated graduate schools, six professional graduate schools and 65 research institutes, the SNU community has expanded to nearly 23,000 students and 2,500 faculty members. At present, the university has moved to Gwanak campus which has over 192 square kilometers of campus and 300 buildings for education and research.
