Founded on Jan. 27, 1918, Peking University People's Hospital (PKUPH) is the first general hospital financed and governed by Chinese nationals. PKUPH, with its 39 specialized clinical departments, is one of the leading hospitals in China. It has 15 departments, which were awarded by the Ministry of Health.
Currently, 802 physicians, 1490 nurses and 1097 supporting staff members, work at PKUPH, which is equipped with 1,700 beds.
