Located at the heart of Kuwait and on the shore of the Persian Gulf, Kuwait City, the country's capital, isn't worth a long visit in many people's minds. One reader said, "Good food and shopping, nothing really to see." Another said, "I typically avoid travel to Kuwait unless there's no other choice." The city was possibly called unfriendly because alcohol is banned there. Alcoholic drinks are only available in foreign embassies, and local people find it very hard to get them.
