The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) has released China's latest car sales statistics. A total of 22.12 million automobiles were produced and 21.98 million were sold last year, up 14.76 percent and 13.87 percent respectively from 2012, both setting a new world record.
Among all the sedan enterprises currently on the Chinese market, Shanghai General Motors became 2013's biggest winner, with 1.37 million units sold last year. FAW Volkswagen Automotive ranked No.2, followed by Shanghai Volkswagen.
Overall sales of the top 10 sedans enterprises hit 7.9 million units, representing 65.76 percent of the total sedan sales on the domestic market.
