For the eighth consecutive year, tech giant Apple has topped Fortune magazine's annual ranking of the World's 50 Most Admired Companies.
Apple, which was the world's first company to surpass US$700 billion in market value in February, is followed by Google and Berkshire Hathaway, a multinational conglomerate holding company.
The list, established in 1997, evaluates the corporate reputation of more than 1,400 companies through nine criteria, including innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment value, quality of products/services and global competitiveness.
