PetroChina still ranks first on a list of Asia’s 300 most competitive enterprises, according to the annual report released by the Boao Forum for Asia on March 17.
The positions of the top 10 companies on the list show only minor changes compared to 2013. The indexes for the evaluation of competitiveness mainly include profitability, basic capacity, development potential and risk resistance capacity. Most of the top 10 enterprises got higher marks for the first two indexes and lower marks for the latter two. The list shows that despite Asian enterprises’ current progress, the development potential and anti-risk capacities of these companies need to be enhanced.
Of the top 300 most competitive Asian companies, 51 are from the Chinese mainland, 33 are from Hong Kong and eight are from Taiwan.
