Apple Inc., world's largest information technology company based on revenue, topped the list of the World's 50 Most Admired Companies for the 10th straight year, according to the latest ranking released by Fortune magazine.

Amazon and Starbucks both improved their ratings from the previous year to take the 1st and the 2nd runner-up spots.

Fortune asked the opinions of 3,800 senior executives, directors and securities analysts and finally listed 50 among 680 candidate companies across 51 industries.
