The motor vehicle market remains strong in China with domestic registrations reaching 33 million last year.
Up through the end of last year, the total number of motor vehicles had reached a record 310 million. Among them, 1.53 million are new energy cars, making up 0.7 percent of the total number of cars.
By the end of 2017, the total number of cars had reached one million on the roads of 53 cities, two million in 24 and three million in seven. The leader was Beijing with the number edging towards six million.
