The New York-based global consultancy company Interbrand released its annual report on the Best Global Brands on Oct. 17.
Technology brands dominated, with Apple ranking first, Google second, Amazon third and Microsoft fourth.
Disney returned to the top 10, while Facebook dropped out.
The ranking was made on the basis of the financial performance of a brand's products and services, the role it plays in purchase decisions, the brand's competitive strength and its ability to create loyalty, and its sustainable demand and profit prospects.
