Founded in 1929, Zhejiang Provincial Museum is one of China’s oldest and most prestigious museums in east China’s Zhejiang province.
It houses over 100,000 exhibits, covering a wide range of cultural heritage and distinct regional features throughout various historical periods. It hosts one piece of “Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains,” one of China's greatest surviving ancient paintings. It also features neolithic artifacts made by the Hemudu culture, Liangzhu culture jade ware, and paintings and calligraphy by local artists of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties.
