Hulun Buir of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is one of China's coldest areas, with average lows of minus 30 degrees Celsius in winter. To further warm up its tourism scene this winter, the city has organized various competitions, including cross-country skiing and snowmobiling, integrated outdoor ice and snow activities, and high-level snow sculpture competitions. It has also launched local cuisine fairs, music performances and marathons.
