Donglingshan is the highest peak in Beijing, standing at an elevation of 2,303 meters. Due to its elevated altitude, a natural scenic area has developed within a 25-square-kilometer radius. It showcases a blend of fault-block mountains, folded mountains, and a wealth of floral landscapes. The mountain houses over 190 species of wildflowers, more than 570 species of medicinal herbs, 36 species of wildlife, and 185 species of birds. Notable among them are nationally protected animals such as pangolins and brown-eared pheasants.
