The 11th World Toilet Summit (WTS), in an effort to promote the construction of travel toilets and sanitation conditions in tourist destinations, will be held November 22 to 25 this year in Haikou, according to the press conference organized by Hainan Province and the World Toilet Organization (WTO).
WTO, headquartered in Singapore, is a global non-profit organization committed to improving toilet and sanitation conditions worldwide. The first of its kind kicked off on November 19, 2001 in Singapore and the day was designated as the "World Toilet Day".
This annual international conference has been held in Singapore, South Korea, Northern Ireland, Russia, Thailand, India, US, China’s Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei and Macao.
