A Norwegian delegation led by Odd Eriksen, governor of Nordland County, is seeking cooperation with Chinese government and enterprises in areas from solar power, metal processing, fishery to oil exploration.
A series of seminars will be held at the Norway Pavilion to explore cooperation potentials between the two countries.
Key industries in Nordland include metal processing, offshore petroleum exploration, tourism, fishery and aquaculture. The county exports salmon and cod to markets in Europe, the United States, China, Russia and Japan. It started developing solar power in 1995.
Eriksen said Nordland hoped to expand cooperation with China in oil and gas exploration and learn from China's technologies.
The delegation comprised businesspeople from about 40 corporations based in Nordland.
In June, Nordland signed a cooperation agreement with Zhejiang Province, both prosperous coastal regions, to jointly develop clean energy, fishery, trade and tourism.
