The Czech Pavilion welcomed its 8 millionth visitor on Tuesday. Li Haiping, a 38-year-old property manager in Shanghai, became the lucky visitor. She said she came at the recommendation of her parents who visited the Czech Pavilion earlier.
Li said she was impressed by the great efforts involved in mounting the exhibition. "Nowhere have I seen so many exhibits and ideas," she said.
A total of 73,365 people visited the pavilion on Monday although maximum capacity was designed for 30,000 people a day. Pavilion staff said they were trying to maintain order.
The Czech Pavilion was the first of all Expo 2010 pavilions to sell its exhibits.
