Italy's prime minister, Silvio Berlusconi, has arrived at his Milan residence. The return home follows four nights in the hospital.
After leaving the medical facility, the Prime Minister went to his local dentist for reconstructive surgery on his front teeth, which were damaged in a Sunday attack.
Doctors discharged Berlusconi a day later than expected, after he suffered unanticipated pain, and had problems eating normally. He has been ordered to restrict his public activities for two weeks.
The Prime Minister was struck in the face after a weekend rally when a man with a history of mental illness threw a miniature replica of Milan's El DUOMO.
