Hollywood's Kungfu Panda conquered the audience with China's most precious animal--the panda. But now, China has decided to bounce back with its own 3D panda film -- Little Big Panda.
The story of Little Big Panda happens somewhere in the majestic Chinese highlands of our days: the Panda's survival is severely endangered but at this critical moment a little big panda Pandy stands up to all the trials and save the whole race with the help of its friends.
This movie is co-produced by China and Europe with the investment of fifty million US dollars from China, Germany, France and Belgium.
Unlike the traditional 3D movie, Little Big Panda in fact is hand-drawn but use a brand new software to make it a "Perspective 3D" movie. Although most of the production staff are Europeans, more typical Chinese elements are added in the movie.
The animation background adopts the style of the Chinese ink paintings and the characters are named with the most famous Chinese names, like Confucius.
The production of Little Big Panda has been lasting for five years and now is in the stage of postproduction. So far the producer has reached agreements with over 1000 countries and regions on its copyrights.
It's estimated that it will hit the big screen next spring. Let's wait for a Chinese animated panda shining on the screen.
