China's Ma Long was one of the stars in the World Table Tennis Championship. The men's and women's teams aimed for big wins as China put its best form on display in Moscow.

The women's victory against the Netherlands wasn't pretty. Liu Shiwen won her match 2-1. But the Chinese coaching staff was not pleased.

And the challenge to China's dominance continued. Ding Ning had a tough five-set match against Li Jie.

But Guo Yan finally eased to a 3-0 victory. The Chinese players stopped the Netherlands 3-0 on aggregate. Japan's next in the semi finals.

Men's team beats Belarus 3-0

Over to the men's side, China's Ma Long thrashed Belarus veteran Vladimir Samsonov. Wang Hao won his match 3-1 for another point for China.

And Xu Xin blanked his opponent 3-0 to seal the Chinese victory. The men's team will also take on Japan in the semi finals.
