DPRK embassy in Beijing lowers flag

At the DPRK embassy in Beijing, the flag has been lowered to half mast, following news of the death of leader Kim Jong Il.
A special report was broadcasted by the DPRK's State Television at 12 o'clock local time Monday. But details of when and where he passed away were withheld.
Beijing residents have expressed shock, and voiced hopes that the country's relationship with China will not be affected.
