Mainland veteran pop singer Faye Wang made a big splash at last year's CCTV Spring Festival gala, performing her hit single "The Legend". Many were wondering if Wang would once again take to the famous stage in 2012.

Well, it's official. Faye Wang will perform at CCTV's Spring Festival Gala on January 22nd - the eve of the year of the dragon.

The 2012 CCTV Spring Festival Gala will be an even bigger event than normal.

The show will have four sections, focusing respectively on "the year of dragon", "home", "the show's 30th anniversary", and "one world, one family".
