Beckham pledged his future to America's Major League Soccer on Wednesday by signing a new two-year contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy. |
The 36-year-old midfielder has spent the last 5-years with the club, helping lead the team to a championship this past season. His decision to stay in North America could be based more on playing time than on money.
Becks will certainly be a fixture in the Galaxy's starting 11, but that may not have been the case at PSG or at another European club.
No financial details of the deal have been released, but Beckham was reportedly paid a base salary of six-point-five million dollars a year during his last contract with the Galaxy.
