In London, the FINA Diving World Cup is continuing. China's Chen Ruolin, the favourite heading into the final of the women's 10m platform, but she would have to overcome compatriot Hu Yadan for the crown at the London Olympic Aquatics Centre.

Hu Yadan and Chen Ruolin sat in first and second spot going into the final. Hu was the champion at the 2010 Diving World Cup. And she got into the act early in the final, staying 13 points ahead of Chen after round two.
Chen, a double gold medal winner at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, came back in the fourth round. She would take advantage of an error made by Hu Yadan in the same round to return to the top by a mere 0.15 points.

And Chen remained calm in the fifth round to grab 83.2 points for a 405.25 point total. Hu was unable to overtake her teammate in the last round and had to settle for second with 397.10 points. Russia's Yulia Koltunova finished third.
Chen Ruolin's gold is the second for China after Qin Kai and Luo Yutong won the men's synchronized 3-metre springboard Monday. The Diving World Cup finishes Saturday and China is expected to be the team to beat after winning all 10 golds at last year's world championships in Shanghai.
