Flooding caused by heavy rain in North-East China has killed dozens of people, and weather forecasters say it isn't likely to ease any time soon. It's the worst flooding China's Songhuajiang River has experienced since 1998.

And it’s the worst Nenjiang River has seen in 50 years.

At least 85 people have been killed.

105 people are still missing and 3.7 million residents have been affected.

Although rainfall has weakened over the past two days, Heilongjiang River still saw its flood peak, well above the warning level, by at least 2 meters in some parts.

Forecasters say more rain is predicted to hit the region.

Another downpour is expected in the basins of Nenjiang River and Songhuajiang River later today.

The central government has granted 1.3 billion yuan in a relief fund for flood prevention and facility restoration.
