Xi Jinping added that ensuring social stability is the basic task of the country’s political and legal work. Therefore people’s demands of lawful interests must be properly handled; policies having a crucial impact on protecting people’s benefits must be improved; and the position of the law in solving conflicts should be strengthened.
Xi Jinping stressed that the relations between stability and people’s interests, as well as that between vitality and order must be well managed. He ordered officials in the political and legal system to take pragmatic actions to safeguard social justice and equality while solving prominent issues that harm people’s interests.
