China's State Archives Administration has released the 13th set of 45 confessions of Japanese war criminals from the Second World War. Today, we bring you the confession of Hiroyuki Nagatomi, who was born in Japan's Kumamoto Prefecture in 1916. In 1938, he was first dispatched to Wujiang County, in east China's Jiangsu Province, as a member of the Propaganda Squad in Japan's Central China Expeditionary Army. Nagatomi admitted to killing 61 Chinese people during Japan's invasion of the country.

According to the written confession of Hiroyuki Nagatomi, between October and November 1943, he killed 6 Chinese people at Taiyue Mountain, in Shaanxi Province, by pushing them off mountain tops.

And later he drove 20 Chinese women and children to a cave and burned them all to death.

In December 1942, in Shaanxi's Xiayukou Village, 8 people were stabbed to death with lances by Nagatomi.

And he arrested over 20 residents in Dongshandi Village, killing them with Japanese swords and straw cutters. The heads of two Chinese people were hung publicly.

Wang Huabin was lucky to have survived one of the brutal attacks.

"I still have a knife wound on my neck. I can show it to you. How deep the cut is. Why did he do this to me?" said Wang.

From the start of Japan's invasion of China to Japan's surrender, Nagatomi was directly involved in the killing of 61 Chinese people, and ordered the killing of 166.

Besides the murders, he confessed to raping 18 Chinese women.
