Lawrence is a household name thanks to countless movie roles and her work in two massive franchises, "X-Men" and "The Hunger Games". However, documentary narration is a new field for her.
The actress said she hoped that, as well as enjoying the visual splendor of the movie, audiences would become more environmentally aware as a result of watching 'A Beautiful Planet'.
"I hope audiences see how precious and fragile our planet is. Experiencing Earth on such an epic scale really inspired me to get involved in conservation as much as I can. Climate change is one of the most important conversations we can have. We take too much without giving back, and our planet's showing signs that it's in danger," Lawrence said.
"A Beautiful Planet" is showing in IMAX cinemas in the U.S. now.
