To the great outdoors now where in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, China's international camping congress opened with more than 2000 people participating. Former Olympic champions were also on show at the event which is aimed to promote outdoor sporting activities.

One of those gold medallists was former marathon runner Wang Liping who was on hand to lead the main group. Her participation in the mini-marathon and limo camping is hoped to inspire the locals to be active and peruse a more healthy lifestyle. This is the first time the Province has hosted the event which also included mountain bike racing and a spot of fishing. Tomorrows agenda features orienteering around some of the City's historic landmarks.
"Taking exercise not only helps build your body but also helps you keep a positive mind in life. This is why we participate because, we want to see more and more people join us and feel close to Olympic champions. This may boost morale when exercising," said Wang Liping.
