It's a little more than a week away from the start of the Rio Paralympics. The Games will commence September 7th, and China will be sending its largest ever delegation to the event -- 308 athletes. And before the squad makes its way to Brazil, they held a conference here in Beijing.
The meeting was held at the Great Hall of the People. During the symposium, the team showed their pride as they sang the national anthem. Including coaches and officials, the Chinese delegation will consist of 499 people.
Almost a third of the squad are veterans when it comes to the Olympics, as they have competed before. The delegation's chief Zhang Haidi spoke to the team, asking them to show the Olympic spirit and to try their best.
