The Ministry of Education issued a notice to the Guangdong provincial government yesterday, officially approving the establishment of the South University of Science and Technology of China in Shenzhen City, the Beijing News reported.
The notice stated that the university will be under the administration of Guangdong provincial government and all the funds needed shall be met by the province. The number of full-time students shall be no more than 8,000.
