He Yong, a member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met on Saturday with a delegation from Lao People's Revolutionary Party headed by Laoly Asang.
He, also deputy secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, said China and Laos had maintained frequent high-level contact and their cooperation was fruitful.
He urged the two sides to work together to implement the agreements reached between Chinese President Hu Jintao and his counterpart Choummaly Saygnasone during the Laotian leader's visit to China earlier this month.
Hu and Choummaly agreed during their talks to promote the comprehensive, strategic and cooperative partnership between the two countries.
Asang, Laotian deputy prime minister and member of the political bureau of the central committee of Lao People's Revolutionary Party, said the new partnership established by the two heads of states would be a milestone in China-Laos relations. He vowed to further cooperation with Chinese government and party.
