The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Tuesday issued a statement denouncing some dishonest remarks made by South Korean President Lee Myung-bak during his recent visit to Southeast Asia, the official news agency KCNA reported.

"All these facts clearly indicate that it is none other than Lee who is wholly to blame for having driven the inter-Korean relations into catastrophe," the spokesman was quoted as saying.
The spokesman warned that the DPRK would never pardon anyone who slanders its inviolable dignity and system, and said Lee had better "stop dishonest remarks causing trouble and properly wag his tongue" if he does not wish to see the inter-Korean relations reaching an uncontrollable catastrophe.
It is rare that the DPRK directly denounces Lee Myung-bak with such tough tone in recent days.
