Leaders of France, Germany and Italy will meet on Thursday in Strasbourg over the future of the debt-sickened European region, according to a brief note issued Tuesday by the Elysee Palace.
"The President of the Republic will welcome on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011 in Strasbourg Mme. Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany and Mr. Mario Monti, Italian Prime Minister for a meeting to prepare the upcoming occurrence in Europe," the note said without revealing any more contents of their meeting.
According to the agenda published by the note, German and Italian leaders will arrive in the morning and a joint press conference is expected around 2:00 p.m.(1300 GMT) after a working lunch among the three.
