Upon his arrival, He, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, vowed to make concerted efforts with the Russian side to lift the bilateral relationship to a higher level.
"The China-Russia relations are one of the most important bilateral relationships in the world," he said in a statement delivered at the airport.
The partnership not only serves the fundamental interests of the two nations but contributes to the peace, stability and prosperity of the region and the world, added He, who is also head of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
The CPC leader also stressed that ties between the CPC and Russian political parties have formed an indispensable and irreplaceable part of the bilateral relations.
The CPC, he said, is committed to boosting exchanges and cooperation with major Russian political parties on the basis of such principles as independence, equality, mutual respect and non-interference in each other's internal affairs.
Russia is the final leg of He's four-nation visit, which has taken him to the Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia.
