Three people were killed and two others wounded in a shooting incident in the parking lot of two night clubs in southwest Houston, the largest city of the U.S. state of Texas, early Wednesday morning, local media reported.
The shooting occurred just after 3 a.m. local time. It led to the deaths of two men and a woman at the scene, and the injuries of two others, including a popular Houston rapper Trae Tha Truth who was shot in the shoulder, local TV ABC13 quoted Houston police as saying.
The shooting took place when hundreds of people were gathering in the parking lot, and a witness was quoted as saying that many gunshots were fired into the crowd.
"I didn't see any shooters. It was more than one because there were too many gunshots," the witness said, adding that it took place so fast that he did not see who the shooter or shooters were because everyone started running.
So far the victims have not been identified. The police are investigating the case, but have made no arrests.
