“他山之石，可以攻玉”，語(yǔ)出《詩(shī)經(jīng)》，意為別的山上的石頭，可以用來(lái)琢磨玉器。比喻借用他人的批評(píng)、幫助來(lái)改正自己的過(guò)錯(cuò)，借他人或他國(guó)的情況、經(jīng)驗(yàn)、方法等作為自己的借鑒和參考，可以更好地提升自我。這一理念充分體現(xiàn)了中國(guó)人開(kāi)放包容、虛心學(xué)習(xí)的精神。

2017年12月，習(xí)近平在中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨與世界政黨高層對(duì)話會(huì)上引用“他山之石，可以攻玉”，指出中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨歷來(lái)強(qiáng)調(diào)樹(shù)立世界眼光，積極學(xué)習(xí)借鑒世界各國(guó)人民創(chuàng)造的文明成果，并結(jié)合中國(guó)實(shí)際加以運(yùn)用。
