The Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations (CDAC)

In May 2019, the CDAC was held in Beijing. More than 1,300 representatives from all 47 countries in Asia and other countries and international organizations attended the conference. Themed "exchange and mutual learning among Asian civilizations as well as a community with a shared future," the conference featured more than 110 activities including an opening ceremony, sub-forums, Asian cultural carnival, and Asian civilization week. Participants discussed the development of Asian civilizations and win-win cooperation among Asian countries, reached broad consensus, and released the 2019 Beijing Consensus of the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations. It included 26 practical measures and cooperation outcomes in four major categories to promote exchange and mutual learning among civilizations.

President Xi attended the opening ceremony of the CDAC and delivered a keynote speech titled "Deepening Exchange and Mutual Learning Among Civilizations for an Asian Community with a Shared Future," in which he made the following proposals: to respect each other and treat each other as equals, to appreciate the culture and values of others as one does one's own, to stay open and inclusive and draw on each other's strengths, and to advance with the times and explore new ground in development. These compose a Chinese solution that would lay a solid cultural foundation for building a community of shared future in Asia and in the rest of the world.

亞洲文明對話大會

2019年5月，亞洲文明對話大會在北京舉行。來自亞洲全部47個國家和世界其他國家及國際組織的1300余位會議代表共同出席大會。大會聚焦“亞洲文明交流互鑒與命運共同體”主題，在開幕式、平行分論壇、亞洲文化嘉年華、亞洲文明周等四大板塊共110余場文明交流活動中，共商亞洲文明發(fā)展之道，共話亞洲合作共贏大計，達成廣泛共識并發(fā)表《亞洲文明對話大會2019北京共識》，形成了四大類26 項推動文明交流互鑒的務(wù)實舉措和合作成果。

習近平出席亞洲文明對話大會開幕式，并發(fā)表題為《深化文明交流互鑒，共建亞洲命運共同體》的主旨演講，提出了加強文明交流互鑒的四點主張，即堅持相互尊重、平等相待，堅持美人之美、美美與共，堅持開放包容、互學互鑒， 堅持與時俱進、創(chuàng)新發(fā)展，為夯實共建亞洲命運共同體、人類命運共同體的人文基礎(chǔ)提供了中國方案。
