| The worst drought in six decades is escalating in Shandong Province, Xinhua reports, citing a spokesperson for the local Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters Saturday. A total of 240,000 people and 107,000 head of livestock are suffering from short supply of drinking water in the province. |

目前全省小麥受旱面積已達3000萬畝，約占全省小麥播種面積的56%，比一周前增加110多萬畝。旱情發(fā)生以來，山東省已投入資金6.8億元、抗旱勞力200萬人。
