Top seeded mixed double Hao Shuai and Mu Zi had to fight seven games for their victory against Belarusian pair Vitaly Nekhvedovich and Veronika Pavlovich to reach the fourth round on Tuesday.
It's an much easy work for the Chinese men's and women's doubles to go through the first two rounds.
Hao Shuai and Mu Zi finally beat the Belarusian double Nekhvedovich and Pavlovich in seven games of 11-8, 11-13, 8-11, 11- 4, 12-10, 12-14, 11-7.
"They played much better than we expected," Hao Shuai said. "We watched their match yesterday, but they didn't show that they could play like today. But I think winning a tough game in an earlier round is a good experience. It enabled us to get used to the pressure which we would probably get in the quarterfinals against stronger rivals."
Number two seeds Zhang Chao and Cao Zhen also went through after beating Carlos Machado and Shen Yanfei from Spain in the third round in 11-7, 11-5, 11-5, 11-8.
Yan An and Feng Yalan (5/8) qualified after their victory over Zoltan Fejer-Konnerth/Zhenqi Barthel from Germany in 13-11, 7-11, 14-12, 11-5, 11-4.
In men's doubles, top seeds Ma Long and Xu Xin beat Janos Jakab/ Daniel Kosiba from Hungary in 9-11, 11-9, 11-2, 11-9, 11-4 in the first round and defeated French duo Christophe Legout/Quentin Robinot 11-6, 11-6, 11-8, 11-8 in the second round.
Second seeded duo Wang Hao/Zhang Jike went past Amalraj Anthony and Soumyadeep Roy from India in the first round with 7-11, 11-5, 11-8, 11-5, 11-5 and knocked out Italians Mihai Bobocica and Niagol Stoyanov in the second with 11-4, 11-6, 11-6, 11-8. Chen Qi/ Ma Lin from China (3/4) and Seiya Kishikawa/Jun Mizutani from Japan (3/4) also made it to the third round.
In women's doubles, top seeded Guo Yue and Li Xiaoxia beat Shamini Kumaresan and Madhurika Patkar from India 11-6, 12-10, 11- 2, 11-7 in the first round and in the second round they defeated Oxana Fadeeva and Anna Tikhomirova from Russia 11-8, 11-5, 11-7, 11-9.
Second seeded pair Ding Ning/Guo Yan beat local favorites Linda Creemers/Britt Eerland in the first round with 11-5, 11-6, 11-4, 11-8 and Lee Ho Ching and Yu Kwok See from Hong Kong, China in the second with 11-3, 11-9, 11-7, 11-9.
Kim Kyung Ah/Park Mi Young from South Korea (3/4), Jiang Huajun/ Tie Yana from Hong Kong, China (3/4) and Feng Yalan/Mu Zi from China (9/16) also qualified for the third round.
