Feng Xiaogang is probably China's most successful "commercial" filmmaker. His comedies consistently perform well at the box office.
But Feng was the big "winner" at the second Golden Broom Awards held in Beijing on Feb 22. The awards spotlight the worst films of the year.
Feng's romantic comedy 'If You Are the One 2' was placed among the three "most disappointing films of the year" and had "the most disappointing product placement in a film". Feng was also named "the most disappointing director of the year".
Feng did not attend the awards ceremony and slammed the judges on his micro blog as "shrewd bastards" who should get a "golden abacus award" for taking advantage of others' celebrity status.
