Covering 15 square kilometers, the Qianhai New Area is planned to be developed as a modern service industry innovation and cooperation zone oriented to Hong Kong and Guangdong Province.
By 2020, the area is expected to achieve a GDP of 150 billion yuan (US$24.71 billion).
