The Agora Garden Hotel, which started business in 1998, was a famous building in Taipei. In 2012, the hotel was redesigned and the project was expected to be finished in 2016. In the form of double helix, the new building will be a 20-storey environmentally friendly structure. The whole building will be equipped with an advanced sustainable solar energy and rainwater recycling system, with gardens on every floor. The design was hailed by the public and regarded as a new landmark of the city.
