The National Maritime Museum of China will be the country's first national-level maritime museum, which is located in a marine park in the Binhai New Area in Tianjin, covering an area of 80,000 square meters. The museum is composed of four large white buildings by water, and their streamlined shape resembles a school of fish. Its construction started in October 2014, and it is expected to be completed in the end of 2016. By far, the museum has collected 42,100 objects, to be exhibited in more than 10 halls.
