Dazuo Village, Fujian Province
Dazuo Village, located in Hui'an town, Fujian Province, is a beautiful fishing harbor rich in natural landscapes and cultural resources. It has been listed as one of the beautiful villages in Fujian. Dazuo is famous for the Hui'an women and their unique costumes.
Hui'an women have been well known for being virtuous and hardworking for a long time in history. In the past, they took over all the housework and farm work when their husbands sailed out for fishing. Their chores included fishing, ploughing and stone carving. Today in Dazuo Village, people can still see them busily working at the beach.
Transportation: take a minibus in Xiamen to Chongwu town; arrive in Chongwu in over 2 hours and take a local motorbike to Dazuo village.
