The England legend has retired from football, bringing an end to a glittering career on the field.
Having made his debut for Manchester United two decades ago, the 38-year-old became an iconic sportsman, captaining England and winning 115 caps, and won championships in four different countries, the only British footballer in history to do so.
Despite being offered a new one-year deal at Paris Saint-German, the 38-year-old has played his last game. He bowed out on a high having helping the club win the French league title for the first time in 19 years.
